1952 norton international model 30 500cc (g11) road

This well maintained matching numbers strong running ostensibly original Cammy Norton ''time capsule'' has travelled 63,000 miles from new. It's long time ww2 dispatch rider veteran owner having cared for it most of its life prior to parking it up about a quarter of a century ago. He had many Ariel, Velocette and BSA bikes but this Cammy Norton was his favourite machine. It remained in the family after he passed. It was very nicely dry stored on its centre stand covered in cotton sheets with fresh Penrite 15w70 in its oil tank, the carby drained, the magdyno adjusted, the dynamo output leads disconnected and tyre shine on the sidewalls, the fuel tank oil coated, and the battery removed. With the son of its owner now infermed, I purchased the bike and recommissioned it. With all systems checked, tank flushed, new oil, new battery and re-serviced. It came back to life first kick and is a real preasure to ride. The engine is very responsive and flexible. It feels about as poweful as my 1956 DBD34 Gold Star clubman, and its gear changes are smoother than my garage queen goldy. It has the appearance of a bike which is ostensibly original, shiny and very well kept in 50+ year old baked laquers of the era as opposed to a totally stripped down powder coated and 2 pack restored bike which to me is its charm.
