Triumph to join ProMX Championship
Just days after winning their first AMA Supercross race in the USA, Triumph Motorcycles announced they’d be entering the Australian motocross championship this year. A three-rider team will contest the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) across MX1 and MX2 categories.

Under the banner of ‘Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team’, Victorian-based Winner Motorcycles makes the move from KTM to Triumph for this year’s ProMX series, with key support from Peter Stevens Motorcycles and Triumph Motorcycles Australia.
“We welcome the Winner Motorcycles Racing program, working with Peter Stevens Motorcycles, into the Triumph Motorcycles Australia network,” said Triumph Motorcycles Australia Brand Manager, Jono Kent. “It’s exciting to have a team so dedicated to the off-road scene represent our exciting new range of motocross motorcycles.
“We wish Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team the best of luck for this 2025 season as we work to establish the Triumph Australia off-road program for the future.”

Peter Stevens Motorcycles General Manager Luke McDonnell said the creation of the Winner Triumph Australia Racing Team was a natural fit for both parties.
“With Triumph being a key manufacturer under our dealership network, the all-new TF 450-RC is going to shake things up with its incredible capabilities on track.
“We knew with this amazing machine finally going to market in early 2025, we needed to showcase it to the Australian racing community at the highest levels of racing.
“We are thrilled to see Triumph find a home to go racing at a national level in 2025 and to expand our relationship with the Winner Motorcycles Racing program,” McDonnell concluded.

Leading the rider lineup for Winner Triumph Racing Australia Team is Jack Simpson, who makes a return to Australian motocross after spending the past decade in various forms of enduro competition, including the AORC (now AEC), Finke Desert Race, Hattah and ISDE, plus three years in the NGPC and WORCS championships in the USA.
Simpson will be riding a TF 450-RC in the MX1 class, while team mates Connar Adams and Thynan Kean will race Triumph’s TF 250-X in the MX2 class.
“I am so excited to be back to my roots and racing in Australia,” said Simpson. “My last ProMX season was all the way back in 2015, and since then, I have travelled the world, racing in off-road, desert and more.
“To come home this year and have the honour of racing the TF 450-RC is amazing and I want to thank Winner Triumph Racing Australia for this opportunity.”

The opening round of the 2025 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores will be held in Wonthaggi on 22-23 March.
