Triumph reveal new colours for selected 2024 models
Selected models in Triumph’s roadster and adventure range will soon be available with a new look, following the announcement of a range of new colour options for 2024. These new colours will be available on the Speed Triple 1200 RS, Trident 660, Rocket 3 and Tiger Sport models.
Triumph’s Modern Classic range will also get new colour schemes for 2024, but details on these will be announced separately.
Starting with the Speed Triple 1200 RS, its existing colour choices of Sapphire Black and Matt Silver Ice will remain for 2024, but this year’s Matt Baja Orange will be replaced with Carnival Red.
While only renderings of the new colour had been presented at time of writing, Carnival Red appears similar to the Red Hopper finish that’s available on the Speed Triple 1200 RR.
Applied to the fuel tank, side covers, belly pan, headlight brows, tail section and seat cowl, this rich crimson shade is accented with graphics in Aluminium Silver. The carbon fibre front mudguard that was redesigned for the 2021 Speed Triple 1200 RS and is fitted to the existing colour choices will also be standard for the new Carnival Red option.
For the LAMS-legal Trident 660, the new addition for 2024 is Jet Black with Triumph Racing Yellow, replacing Matt Baja Orange with Matt Storm Grey. Carryover colours include Sapphire Black, Silver Ice with Diablo Red and Matt Jet Black with Silver Ice.
Applied in similar style to the other two-tone options (front mudguard accents, radiator cowl and underseat section), the Triumph Racing Yellow has a fluoro look that really pops against the glossy Jet Black. A bold Triumph lozenge decal in white on the tank is in the style of the existing Matt Jet Black/Silver Ice colour option, setting this pair apart from the other two colour choices with their subtler tank identification.
For the 2024 Rocket 3, both the R and GT get the same new colour option – Sapphire Black with Carnival Red and Silver Ice. This replaces the Silver Ice with Cranberry Red offering for the Rocket 3 R and Carnival Red with Sapphire Black on the Rocket 3 GT.
On the Rocket 3 R, the new paint option flips the treatment of the current Silver Ice with Cranberry Red, giving the fuel tank, side panels and front mudguard a rich Sapphire Black treatment. On the tank, this finish is accented with a Carnival Red section outlined in Silver Ice, with a silver stripe at the trailing edge. The flyscreen on the R is finished in Sapphire Black, as are the twin headlight shells and lower radiator cowl, while the upper cowl and mudguard brackets are finished in Matt Aluminium Silver.
For the Rocket 3 GT, the new colour for 2024 is essentially a reverse of this year’s Carnival Red with Sapphire Black option. The tank, front mudguard and sidecovers are finished in Sapphire Black, with a Carnival Red accent panel on the tank that’s outlined in Silver Ice and complemented by a thin Silver Ice stripe. Matt Aluminium Silver for the upper radiator shroud and mudguard bracket is unchanged from the outgoing Carnival Red with Sapphire Black.
For the Rocket 3 R, the existing options of Sapphire Black and Matt Silver Ice carry over for 2024, as does the Rocket 3 GT’s Sapphire Black.
Identifying features for both Rocket 3 models remain unchanged under the new colour schemes. These include the all-black wheels for the R, and the windscreen, reprofiled handlebars, forward controls, pillion backrest and machined-face wheels for the GT.
Moving to the Tiger Sport 660, this entry-level, LAMS-compliant adventure model gains two new colour schemes for 2024. The new offerings are Snowdonia White with Jet Black and Jet Black with Graphite, replacing the current Lucerne Blue with Sapphire Black and Graphite with Sapphire Black. Korosi Red with Graphite will carry over from 2023.
On the first new colour option for 2024, Snowdonia White is applied to the fuel tank, fairing and cockpit section, with Jet Black for the front mudguard, radiator cowls and tail section. This new option also features the same decals above the headlights and on the fuel tank's trailing edge as the Korosi Red/Graphite option, but in black.
The new Jet Black with Graphite option is subtler, with its mostly black finish contrasted by Graphite on the front mudguard and radiator cowls.
Finally, the Tiger Sport 850 gains a Graphite with Jet Black option for 2024. Graphite with Diablo Red carries over for the coming year, but both the Graphite with Caspian Blue and Graphite with Baja Orange will be discontinued.
The new option has much the same treatment as the existing colour choices, with the minor colour (Jet Black in this case) applied to the forward section of the mudguard, fuel tank end panels, beak and lower radiator cowl. Tiger identification is on the latter, with 850 Sport decals in grey, black and red on the fuel tank.
Like the Jet Black with Graphite option for the Tiger Sport 660, this is a subtle alternative to the carryover Graphite with Diablo Red.
A local release date for all these new colour options had not been announced at time of writing, but orders are being taken now at Triumph dealers Australia-wide. Pricing was also yet to be announced, but given the changes for 2024 are purely cosmetic, expect little to no change on current pricing.
