Relph selected for 2025 WorldWCR grid
The full line-up of riders for the 2025 FIM Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR) has been announced, with Australia’s Tayla Relph selected for a second season in the all-female racing series. Running the #8, Relph will once again be the sole Aussie on the grid, but needs sponsors to help make her second season a reality.
In this year’s inaugural WorldWCR season, Relph made a mark immediately, topping the very first pre-season practise session. Consistently inside the Top 10 at most rounds, she led a race at Round 5 in Estoril and scored a podium at Round 4 in Cremona. The 27-year-old from Victoria finished the season seventh overall and was the first non-European in a World Championship dominated by riders from Spain.
“What an honour it is to be selected once again for the 2025 WorldWCR championship!” Relph said. “Every rider had to re-apply for the championship, so our spot had never been 100% set in stone until we received official confirmation a few days ago.
“This year was a massive adjustment for us; we were thrown into the deep end with so many things. As well as learning how to race in the World Championship, we also had to adapt to a whole new way of living in Europe and had to set ourselves up from nothing.”
Now that her place in WorldWCR has been confirmed, Relph is seeking dedicated sponsors to come on board and support her 2025 World Championship campaign. A number of packages are available, as well as single-round support opportunities. The 2025 WorldWCR season will consist of six rounds, all held in conjunction with the FIM Superbike World Championship. Round 1 will be at the TT Circuit Assen in April, followed by rounds at Cremona, Donington Park, the all-new Balaton Park circuit in Hungary, then Magny-Cours and Jerez, where the championship concludes in October.
As with this year’s inaugural WorldWCR season, all 24 riders in the 2025 championship will be competing on identically prepared Yamaha YZF-R7s.
