Scorpio - dedicated bike security

The Scorpio uses high frequency RF technology for communications up to 800m away from the motorcycle and works well, even in difficult areas like underground car parks, but is arguably best suited for kerbside residential and work parking security. The super compact transceiver allows full control of the alarm system remotely and incorporates an interactive LCD that instantly confirms all commands and alarm triggers with easy to understand icons and text. The alarm control module measures just 90x60x20mm, so it can be easily fitted to most bikes and can withstand extremes of heat, vibration and pressure. Once activated, the SR-i500S will detect shock, motion and inclination as well as interference, so no matter what method sneaky thieves try to use to pinch your beloved ride, the SR-i500S will help reduce the risk of theft by emitting a deafening 125dB multi-tone siren.

For further security, there is an ignition disable/anti-hijack upgrade option that allows you to remotely disable the ignition, even if the keys are in the bike and the alarm is off. The Scorpio SR-i500S is available as a model-specific kit (to suit several Harley-Davidson models) that connects directly to the factory-spec connectors. A generic model that suits any bike is also available, both include full installation instructions.

The Scorpio SR-i500S alarm retails from $516 (incl GST) for the basic alarm, $550 for a kit with a dedicated plug-in loom and $50 extra for the ignition disable upgrade. Available from most leading motorcycle accessory retailers.
