GEAR ON TEST – Falco Lennox boot
If you’re only riding your bike short distances to the shops, work, etc., dedicated motorcycle boots can be a bit of a hassle - hot, big and clunky.
I don’t like to admit it, but there have been times when I’ve chucked my gear, from neck to ankle, and substituted proper riding boots for a pair of normal shoes or casual boots that don’t really offer any protection.
Lennox boots from Falco are designed to look like a normal street shoe, but thanks to built-in safety features, they add an extra layer of protection and are actually CE approved.
Outer construction looks like canvas, but it’s actually full-grain leather for more protection than any street shoe can offer, aided by ABS-moulded ankle cups and reinforced heel and toe inserts.
The high-grip rubber sole keeps your feet on the pegs and, combined with the Air-Tech ventilated lining and a cushioned inner sole, makes the Lennox comfortable enough to wear every day - on and off the bike.
As well as being safe and sturdy, these boots are practical, too, with a zipper on the inner side for easy access, so you don’t have to fiddle with the laces every time you put them on and take them off.
Lennox boots are also pretty darn stylish. My blue pair with a white sole, white laces and leather detailing are one of three Lennox colours available. The others are black with black sole and laces, and a ‘green army’ colour with black sole and laces.
To be honest, the Falco Lennox boots are probably the best-looking pair of shoes I own right now!
Available in black, blue and green army, in (Euro) 40 to 47 men’s sizes (42-47 in green army).
