Doyle out for 2016 Aus Speedway GP
Sam Masters will fill in for Doyle at the Australian Speedway GP, which takes place on 22 October at Melbourne's Etihad Stadium.
Doyle's injury, incurred in a crash the 2016 FST Grupa Brokerska Torun FIM Speedway Grand Prix of Poland last Saturday (1 October), also ends the Aussie's championship charge.
In the lead up to the Polish round, Doyle was second overall behind Greg Hancock, and a genuine chance to score his first FIM Speedway GP World Championship.
With Doyle out and Masters in, there will still be three Aussies in action at Etihad this October: series regular Chris Holder and wildcard Brady Kurtz joining Masters in the field.
Masters was the local wild card at last year's FIM Australian Speedway GP.
Newly crowned Speedway Under-21 World Champion, Victorian Max Fricke has been promoted to first reserve for the October event.
