2023 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – coming this May
The 2023 Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is coming up soon – Sunday, 21 May, to be precise - so now is the time to get your eligible motorcycle ready, get your best dapper threads sorted and get your fundraising campaign started for this annual charity ride in support of men’s mental health programmes and prostate cancer research.
Since 2012, the DGR has connected hundreds of thousands of classic and vintage style motorcyclists around the world. To date, US$37.5 million has been raised for men’s health.
In 2021, the traditional September date for the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) was moved to May, and that remains in place for this year’s ride, which will take place in more than 120 countries globally on Sunday, 21 May, 2023.
To enter this year’s DGR, simply register for a ride in your area (via gentlemansride.com), start fundraising by calling for donations (to yourself or your chosen ride), then choose your most dapper threads to wear with your classic or classically-styled motorcycle.
The DGR is open to men and women, but motorcycle eligibility rules apply. See the website for bike and gear style guides.
As with past DGRs, there are some seriously impressive prizes on offer for participants this year, headlined by a one-off Triumph motorcycle and unique Hedon helmet for the highest fundraiser. The second and third highest fundraisers will receive a new Thruxton RS and new Speed Twin, as well as a Hedon helmet. Hedon are also offering a special edition helmet to the Top 100 fundraisers, with patches and pins on offer for other fundraising participants. There are prizes for donating to a rider or ride, too.
