2012 MOTOGP PROVISIONAL CALENDAR RELEASED

The positions in the schedule for the German and Mugello rounds have been swapped, as have the Australian and Malaysian rounds, placing Phillip Island slightly later in the calendar than this year's event. The common sense move of running the two US rounds back-to-back has been made, but the three week between each would hardly be convenient for the teams involved.

Other news regarding future schedules includes the addition of a round in Argentina from 2013, along with a potential third US round to be added to the calendar in the same year. Dorna Sports and Indianapolis Motor Speedway also recently signed an agreement to extend the Indy MotoGP round to 2014.
