2007 Yamaha WR250F
It starts with a new aluminium frame with tuned flex quotients and a more upright cylinder angle. From the saddle that translates to superb handling, more comfort, less fatigue and a truer rider/machine interface. The new dry sump engine has an even stronger character. Based on the '06 YZ engine, it boasts brand new WR specific cam profiles with optimised event angles for intake and exhaust, new carb settings and new CDI settings. It all combines to create a net increase in low and mid range performance, and when matched to new 3rd, 4th and 5th gear ratios, boosts pulling power even further.
But there's a host more changes for the new WR250F - newer parts, lighter parts, more durable parts and faster parts. It's not all just "go-faster" bits, though. There's also more comfortable parts and more ergonomically efficient parts, created with the rider in mind. Using Yamaha's philosophy of machine and rider integration, they have created a more tactile and useful rider/WR250F relationship, as sensations and feel are transmitted more clearly than ever to the rider. And the better the rider and machine can understand what each other is saying, the faster, smoother and safer you hit your groove… and the better you ride.
