1969 norton commando 750 cafe racer

This bike was originally purchased as a Roadster but after discovering it was a 1969 Commando S that had many original S parts missing, it was converted to a cafe racer. The engine / gearbox were originally professionally rebuild in QLD in 2004 to standard specs, including a new barrell, engine internals, exhaust headers and Amal 30mm carbies. The original fuel tank was replaced and is now fitted with a polished aluminium Norvil tank and the seat was modified to suit and reupholstered in black leather. The following mods / upgrades were also carried out: Turn indicators / flasher unit added. Boyer electronic ignition installed RGM primary belt drive installed Norvil vernier type isolastics front and rear were installed Front wheel TLS operating mechanism was upgraded Clutch plates replaced Front fork progressive springs installed Hagon shock absorbers installed at the rear Gearbox internals inspected with the kickstart pawl replaced and the kickstart leaver upgraded RGM rearsets installed RGM instrument holders installed Headlight and tail light replaced Bar end mirrors installed The swinging arm was removed and powder coated, resleeved and reassembled The head was later professionally rebuilt in QLD in 2007 to Combat specs as follows: The Head was gas flowed with carb inlets opened up to 32mm The head was machined back to increase compression to Combat specs. All valves, springs and pushrods were replaced / upgraded New twin 32mm Amal carbs were installed A 4S cam shaft was installed RGM stainless steel braided oil feed lines were installed Stainless steel braided engine oil lines were installed Since the original engine rebuild in 2004 the bike has only travelled approx 3500 miles. Original parts removed from the bike will be supplied as well as a number of exhaust, and clutch removal OEM tools and spares. An FRP Dunstall fuel tank and full set of workshop manuals and publications will also be supplied. No expense spared, reluctant sale due to injury.
