Seller's Description
Manufactured in BSA’s Birmingham factory, the W34-9 was the famous marque’s highest spec model of the period, and its creation and development would lead the company to building the now famous ‘Gold Star’; the ultimate desire of genuine road-racing competitors and Ton-up Ace Café racers alike. Sporting higher compression, racing camshaft and up-swept exhaust, the 500cc OHV engine produced a whopping 54hp (40kw) and weighed in at 162kg. With a top speed of 137kph the blue Star saw much success in competition and was only produced between 1932 and 1935. In 1937 the model morphed into the Empire Star and within a year that model had developed into the Gold Star. As the photos depict, this BSA W34-9 Blue Star is in superb condition and has correct numbers. The bike is with our Dutch partner and available for immediate purchase.
