YAMAHA MOTOGP TEAM LAUNCH 2013 LIVERY

While there are some minor differences between the liveries of both Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi's machine, the 'Yamaha Blue' corporate colour is prominent on both, with the livery almost being a reverse of the team's 2012 colours. An interesting feature on both bikes is the mirror-finish front panel behind the race numbers.

Additionally, with no major outside title sponsor (like Fiat from previous years), the team was free to use whatever colour scheme they liked on both YZR-M1s. Sponsors of note on the 2013 bikes include Monster Energy Drink and Iveco Trucks.

At the official team launch on March 22, ahead of the final MotoGP test session at Jerez, Rossi, Lorenzo, Yamaha Motor Racing Managing Director Lin Jarvis, Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd President Hiroyuki Yanagi, Team Director Massimo Meregalli and Team Manager Wilco Zeelenberg were present for a Q&A session.

The 2013 FIM MotoGP World Championship commences at Losail, Qatar, on April 7.
