New lightweight, forged aluminium pistons have been designed for added toughness, whilst a lightweight magnesium head cover, single exhaust valve-springs, revised transmission gear ratios, and a smaller, lighter clutch also provide for leading class design.

The list of improvements continues with a new front brake vertical piston master cylinder system, lighter weight stainless steel four-into-one exhaust, new intake air control valve for smooth throttle response and much more.
