Pikes Peak Special Edition Ducati Multistrada
It was developed in the wake of the stunning Pikes Peak International Hill Climb celebration of Greg Tracy's famous victory in the 2010.
The special edition Ducati is styled with replica Corse-style paint scheme. Passenger foot-peg hangers and engine guard anodised in black finish and sport red pin-striping on the wheels. In addition to the original equipment silencer and screen the Pikes Peak Special Edition arrives with an Ducati Performance carbon fibre silencer by Termignoni and a race-derived low screen in carbon fibre. A Ducati Performance carbon fibre front mudguard, and custom made seat detailed with red stitching complete an enhanced specification well worthy of a race-winning replica.
Where the horizon is not a limit, Ducati have advanced beyond and created four different Riding Modes immediately adapt the motorcycle to any environment. Sport, Touring, Urban and Enduro Riding Modes are made selectable by the simple click of a button, instantly transforming the Multistrada's suspension, power output and traction control settings electronically.
The Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, or "Race to the Clouds", is scheduled June 26th 2011, The race takes place in a range of the Rocky Mountains, 16km west of Colorado Springs and races 20km from a start line altitude of 2,862 metres to a finish line at 4,300.
Hopefully Ducati can continue their winning ways and continue to develop road going versions of the race inspired machines.
