New date for 10th Anniversary Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride

As the world starts to emerge from the worst of COVID-19, group rides are back, and one of the greatest and most important group rides of all - the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride – is back, too, with a new date and new energy for its tenth anniversary.

Normally held in September, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride gets a new date for 2021 - Sunday, 23rd of May. To celebrate the ten-year anniversary, Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride (DGR) organisers are calling on gents and ladies all over the world to dress dapper, ride classic and classically-styled motorcycles and raise money for men’s health initiatives this May.

Since 2012, the DGR has connected hundreds of thousands of classic and vintage style motorcyclists around the world and, to date, has raised US$27.45 million for men’s health.

This year, the DGR hopes to raise a further US$2.55M for charity beneficiary Movember, bringing its decade of fundraising to a grand total of US$30M.

Reflecting on ten years of the DGR, event founder Mark Hawwa says it’s more important than ever for riders to register for this year’s DGR.

“It’s unfathomable to think that 10 years ago, an idea to bring a few dapper men and women together on classic bikes to change the stereotypes of motorcyclists went viral. Since then, we’ve made so many incredible connections and met so many inspiring people; all while raising a huge amount of funds and awareness for men’s health, on behalf of Movember.

“This year, similarly to last year, we need to consider the safety of our global community. We look to organize COVID-safe events where possible, and for those who can’t, we encourage you to connect digitally and ride solo for men’s health and help us celebrate a decade of the event.”

The list of prizes on offer for this year's top DGR fundraisers are headlined by four new Triumph motorcycles, including a 1-of-1 DGR x Triumph custom, as well as helmets from Hedon (including 10 hedonist helmets custom-painted by renowned artists) and apparel packs from Belstaff.
