FEATURE - 2022 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide Limited
Harley-Davidson’s premium CVO range comes in four flavours for 2022, one of which makes a return after a few years away – the CVO Road Glide Limited.

Replacing the CVO Limited in this year’s lineup, the CVO Road Glide Limited is essentially a long-distance touring version of the CVO Road Glide, set up for two, adding extra parts and introducing standard features to eat up highway miles in ultimate comfort.

While it has the same Shark Nose fairing as the Road Glide, the Road Glide Limited tops this with a taller windscreen that’s also clear for uninterrupted vision and better wind resistance.
The Alcantara-trimmed seats are upgraded to full touring units, with a backrest for rider and pillion, as well as heating front and rear, with individual temperature control for both.

A top box is standard, which combined with the panniers, increases storage capacity to 132 litres (4.7 cubic feet). To further maximise luggage capacity, a rack is added to the topbox and the Harley-Davidson Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate sound system is the Stage I unit, which deletes the pannier-mounted speakers of the Stage II version.
For long haul comfort, rear suspension travel is dialled up to 76mm (from 54mm on the CVO Road Glide), with adjustable preload, while the non-adjustable 49mm Dual Bending Valve front suspension offers 117mm of travel.

Amongst the styling features on the 2022 CVO Road Glide Limited are ‘Tomahawk’ alloy wheels, in a 19-inch front and 18-inch rear combination, finished in gloss black with contrast chrome detailing.
Three paint options include a pair of similar two-tone finishes; Wicked Orange Pearl/Black Hole and Hightail Yellow Pearl/Black Hole. Both of these feature Lightning Silver accents and hand-painted pinstripes. These paint options also feature bright chrome engine trim as standard.
The third paint option, Dante’s Red with Dante’s Black Sunglo, adds a fade flame pattern and features a gloss black finish for the engine and exhaust.

The Milwaukee-Eight 117 v-twin on the CVO Road Glide Limited runs a standard intake (a Screamin’ Eagle Heavy Breather is optional) and produces 78kW and 169Nm (105hp and 125lb/ft), which is comparable to the other MY22 CVO models.

Tipping the scales at 437kg wet, the CVO Road Glide Limited has a 22.7-litre fuel capacity, 130mm ground clearance and 760mm seat height.
Australian pricing for the 2022 CVO Road Glide Limited starts at $61,750.
