In Triumph-speak, the Bonneville range are ‘Modern Classics’. For 2021, there’s a bit more “modern” in the mix, as the entire lineup has been subject to change, starting with updated versions of both the 900cc and 1200cc twin cylinder engines to meet Euro 5 emissions requirements.
The changes aren’t exclusively about making the parallel twins cleaner; in the MY21 Bonneville T100, there’s more power, too, coupled with a 4kg weight reduction. Power and torque is unchanged on the MY21 Bonneville T120 and T120 Black, but both models benefit from a 7kg weight reduction.
Other changes and upgrades include increased fuel capacity on the MY21 Bonneville Bobber, braking and suspension upgrades across a variety of models, more comfortable seats, new instrument faces, new wheels, revised tinware and modified paint finishes and detailing, depending on model.

While the Bonneville family for 2021 can trace its lineage directly to the rebirth of the model in 2001, there’s a bloodline that goes all the way back to the original “Bonnie” from 1959.
The updates and new componentry of the eight key models are the result of work done in Triumph’s advanced R&D facility at Hinckley. And while there are more modern features on this latest iteration, Triumph says there’s also been a focus on maintaining the original Bonneville’s essence and signature design features.
Roll-out of the MY21 Bonneville range started in Q2, 2021, with the Scrambler and Street Scrambler amongst the most recent arrivals. Pricing starts from $15,890 for the Street Twin, rising up to $26,100 for the Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen Edition that’s limited to just 1,000 units worldwide.
