FEATURE - 2021 Triumph Bonneville Bobber
For 2021, the Bonneville Bobber blends the two 2020 models - Bobber and Bobber Black – into one specification, offering what Triumph says is authenticity and a higher specification.

2021 Bonneville Bobber highlights
- Euro 5 compliant 1200cc twin that’s more responsive, while offering lower emissions
- Larger 12-litre fuel tank
- New 16-inch front wheel
- Higher specification Brembo brakes and Showa forks
- New black powdercoated engine, cam and sprocket covers
- New instrument faces

Those Bobber Black features include a 16x2.5-inch front wheel, dual front brake discs, beefier Showa 47mm forks and an LED headlight. And while there’s still of lot of black trim and detailing on the MY21 Bonneville Bobber, the fully murdered-out finish of the Bobber Black has been left behind.

Like the rest of the MY21 Bonneville range, the latest Bobber gets the Euro 5 compliant 1200cc parallel twin that brings improved response, along with a fuller and smoother torque curve.

Engine tuning is the same as the Bonneville Speedmaster, which means 57.5kW at 6100rpm and 106Nm at 4000rpm, while the six-speed transmission and torque-assist hydraulic clutch are also common to both models.
To enable the distinctive Bobber to be enjoyed on the road for longer, the fuel tank is now 12 litres – a 3-litre increase on the 2020 model – for a claimed 33 per cent increase in range.

The instrument pod has been given subtle Bonneville branding and a specific finish for the instrument dial, with white numbers on a black face, while more warning lights are said to be integrated into the single pod.

Other signature Bobber features, like the adjustable solo seat (690mm high), wide and flat handlebars, adjustable levers and footpegs, bar-end mirrors, monoshock rear suspension, Avon Cobra tyres (developed specifically for this model), Road and Rain riding modes, slash-cut mufflers and unique dual airbox intakes, continue unchanged.
Colours for the 2021 Bonneville Bobber include Matte Storm Grey and Cordovan Red, both of which are new, as well as Jet Black.
