Display themes announced for 2024 Historic Winton

Historic Winton, the annual all-historic race meeting at Winton Motor Raceway in regional Victoria, has announced the anniversary display themes for this year’s 47th edition of the event.

While a number of car anniversaries are being recognised, with a special race to be held for Ford Cortinas to mark the 60th Anniversary of that model in Australia, there are motorcycle marque and model anniversaries this year, too.

Listed anniversaries include 110 years of the Hendeson Model C, 100 years of the Brough Superior SS100, 90 years of the Douglas Endeavour, 70 years of the Triumph Tiger 110 and 60 years of Honda’s CT trail bike. Owners of all those models are invited to bring them to Winton Motor Raceway on the weekend of 25-26 May and add their pride and joy to the paddock display.

This year also marks the centenary of HRD motorcycles and 110 years since Australia’s first Motorcycle Tourist Trophy and Motorcycle Grand Prix events, so any HRD motorcycles and bikes 100 years old and older are welcome to join the celebrations, too. On track, there will be a packed programme of historic motorcycle and sidecar racing, covering all the key historic periods – Veteran, Vintage, Classic, Post Classic, etc. - with strong grids expected for most classes.

Presented by the Austin 7 Club, Inc., and the Historic Motorcycle Racing Association of Victoria, the 47th edition of Historic Winton will take place at Winton Motor Raceway (10km north-east of Benalla) on the weekend of 25 and 26 May, 2024.

Public entry is $40.00 per person on Saturday, 25 May and $50.00 per person on Sunday, 26 May. A 2-day weekend pass is $80.00 per person. Entry is free for kids under 17. Camping is available at the circuit for up to three nights, starting at $20.00 per person per night.
