CDR Yamaha unveil 2015 livery and new sponsors
Australia's most successful and longest running professional motocross team is proud to announce new associations with CUB's Carlton Dry, Yamaha Motor Finance and Yamaha Motor Insurance for the 2015 season.
CDR Yamaha has also renewed their relationship with Monza Imports, supplying premium brands such as Fox, Alpinestars and Pro Circuit products to the CDR Yamaha team for over 20 years, along with a personal relationship with Craig Dack dating back more than 30 years.
Long-time fans of motocross, Carlton Dry has been an active supporter of the Australian motocross scene (most recently with Honda) for several years now, but joins CDR Yamaha for the first time this season. Carlton Dry will feature on the CDR team bikes, rider gear and team transporter for all contracted events this year, along with a range of promotional activities planned for the season ahead.
Carlton Dry's Mim Orlando said the brand was thrilled to be teaming up with CDR Yamaha and continue its ongoing support of the motocross industry.
"We're excited to working with one of the most passionate and professional crews in the motocross industry," Orlando said. "Motocross forms such a big part of our sponsorship portfolio which focuses on some of the most popular and thrilling action sports in the country.
"For us, the fit with CDR Yamaha is perfect for our beer; one of the fastest growing brews with young adults looking for a contemporary and great tasting beer," Orlando added.
Yamaha Motor Finance (YMF) and Yamaha Motor Insurance (YMI) also come on board for the new season and will look to promote their high quality products and services to the Aussie dirt bike community via the CDR Yamaha racing program. Both companies offer a comprehensive range of finance and Insurance options which are available nation-wide via the Yamaha dealer network.
"CDR Yamaha, YMI and YMF are market leaders in their respective fields, so working hand in hand is practical and vital for both parties," said Brad Ryan, Yamaha Motor Australia's Finance and Insurance General Manager.
"Dirt bikes are a big percentage of sales at Yamaha and to have CDR Yamaha represent and promote our finance and insurance sectors will be of benefit to us and we look forward to a strong season on the track from the CDR Yamaha crew."
CDR Yamaha's rider lineup was expanded to three when the experienced Daniel Reardon joined Kade Mosig and Jacob Wright in February, but less than a month later, was cut to two again when Wright suffered a season-ending knee injury in a training accident. For the entire 2015 MX Nationals season, CDR Yamaha will field Reardon and Mosig, with Wright a possibility to return for the 2015 supercross season, which is expected to commence in October.
Four time Mr. Motocross champion, Craig Dack, has owned and managed the CDR Yamaha race team for over 20 years, amassing 36 national championships and countless state and regional wins. CDR has long been seen as the benchmark for racing teams in Australia.
Despite the years of success, Dack is excited about the teams' 2015 campaign.
"It's an honour to welcome some exciting new partners for 2015 in Carlton Dry, YMF and YMI, as well as extend our deals with existing team sponsors. The relationship between Carlton Dry and CDR will see our team and sport promoted in ways not seen before and raise the profile of our athletes. Carlton Dry is one the fastest growing beers and their fit is perfect for a fast paced, high action sport like motocross and supercross," Dack said.
"YMI and YMF are industry leaders in motorcycle finance and insurance and are part of the Yamaha family of companies. As a group, Yamaha like to promote and develop each aspect of their business. CDR Yamaha is a great tool for YMI and YMF products and we welcome them on board for 2015.
"I'm also excited by the look of our 2015 race bikes and the rider line-up we have for this season. It's a credit to the staff here at CDR Yamaha just how good our race bikes look and how well they perform on the track, as well as the stunning Fox gear the riders wear.
"We are in final preparations now and will be ready to go when round one of the MX Nationals hits Horsham on March 29," Dack ends.
Yamaha Motorsport Manager, Ray Howard, welcomes the involvement of such distinguished brands with CDR Yamaha and expects a fruitful relationship for all parties.
"To have the support of Carlton Dry, YMI and YMF behind our flagship motocross race team in 2015 will only add to the off-field presence and the on-track performance of the riders and staff. We are looking forward to developing these new relationships and hope for a long and successful relationship with them as we do with all of CDR Yamaha's partners and supporters."
