Australian-made electric bike to be showcased at Melbourne Expo
Scheduled to take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from November 23 - 25, the Expo will feature all the latest offerings from the motorcycle world, but the high-spec 'Stealth Bomber' will be a new addition to the event, and one that's sure to attract attention.
Stealth ElectricBikes are an Australian engineering company, based in Melbourne, and the Stealth Bomber is their flagship model.
On a 2-hour charge, the Stealth Bomber can travel up to 80km/h over a range of 80km, with the inbuilt regenerative battery technology able to extend this range even further by converting braking energy into electricity.
Light-weight yet extremely rigid under load, the Stealth Bomber's one-piece monocoque frame, constructed from aircraft-certified alloys, ensures a high power-to-weight ratio.
Riders can let the zero emission 4.5kw direct-drive motor do the work or boost the bike's performance with their own pedal power using a 9-speed sequential gear box. The Stealth range takes up no more storage space than a typical mountain bike and can be charged through any 240volt household outlet.
Nicholas Morrison said the company was eagerly anticipating its first show appearance which would take place near to its Melbourne base.
"Stealth Electric Bikes have created the perfect synergy between man and machine," said Morrison. "By combining the very best of human and electric propulsion systems, Stealth have built the ultimate extension of the human body.
"Whether you're conquering concrete jungles or tearing up and down the wildest trails, a Stealth Electric Bike is the coolest and most fun way to get you there… and back again.
"The Australian Motorcycle Expo Melbourne will be a landmark event for the brand, and we're excited to make our show debut so close to where the bikes are designed and engineered."
Stealth Electric Bikes will join an Australian Motorcycle Expo lineup in Melbourne that features all major motorcycle manufacturers as well as over 100 product, accessory and service exhibitors.
Floor space at the event has now completely sold out, a positive sign for the industry and those confirming their involvement.
