2025 World Superbike Championship entry list
The full entry list for the 2025 Motul FIM Superbike World Championship (WorldSBK) sees 23 riders named in the starting lineup for the championship that gets underway at Phillip Island on 21-23 February.

All five factory teams – Ducati, BMW, Bimota (nee Kawasaki), Yamaha and Honda - have unchanged rider lineups for 2025, meaning some of the category’s biggest names, like Toprak Razgatlioglu Alvaro Bautista and Jonathan Rea, are with the same teams as last year. There have been movements at several independent teams, though.
Barni Spark Racing Team has expanded to a two-rider squad for 2025, with World Supersport race winner Yari Montella moving up to WorldSBK alongside Danilo Petrucci on a Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Yamaha Motoxracing WorldSBK Team has also doubled its roster, signing Tito Rabat and Bahattin Sofuoglu in place of Bradley Ray.

Despite KRT being rebranded as Bimota (officially the ‘Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team’) for 2025, Kawasaki retains a place on the grid, with the Puccetti Kawasaki independent team renamed as ‘Kawasaki WorldSBK Team’ and signing Garrett Gerloff in place of Rabat.
Gerloff’s former team, Bonovo Action BMW, has been reborn as MGM Bonovo Racing. Gerloff’s former team mate, Scott Redding, remains with the renamed and downsized squad, who switch from BMW to Ducati machinery this year.
Since the rider entry list was released late last year, PETRONAS MIE Honda Racing has made a change to its lineup, with Malaysia’s Zaqhwan Zaidi replacing Adam Norrodin, but Tarran Mackenzie retains his seat with the independent Honda outfit.

WorldSBK rookies for 2025 include the aforementioned Montella, Sofuoglu and Zaidi, while Ryan Vickers can be classed as a rookie, with only one wildcard entry previously, back in 2022 with Pedercini Kawasaki. Since then, Vickers has spent time in the British Superbike Championship (BSB). While Vickers will be on a Ducati Panigale V4 R with Motocorsa Racing squad for his first full WorldSBK season, all his BSB success was achieved on the Yamaha YZF R1, including seven wins last year that saw him finish fifth overall in that championship. The Brit turned 26 in the days leading up to the 2025 WorldSBK season opener at Phillip Island.

As he was last year, Remy Gardner will be the sole Aussie on the WorldSBK grid for 2025. Gardner’s 2024 campaign ended early following a wrist injury at Estoril, but it was a still a positive season for the 24-year-old, highlighted by his first WorldSBK podium, achieved in Race 2 at Assen. Additionally, Gardner achieved Top 5 finishes in all three races at Most and Top 10 placings at every other circuit except Aragon.
At Phillip Island, Gardner’s best WorldSBK result to date has been sixth in last year’s Superpole Race.
