Seller's Description
Lovely retro step-through bike Symba is actually a Postie bike branded as Sym. The SYM factory in Taiwan makes Symbas as well as the iconic Honda CT110 with almost identical specifications and minor cosmetic differences. It is an ideal city bike, simple to jump on and meander through traffic. It has a semi-automatic transmission without a clutch that a rider would operate (instead, a centrifugal clutch does it automatically). Rider still needs to change gears, operated with the left foot in the order N-1-2-3-4. This was my first bike and I just simply got used to operating the transmission without knowing anything else :-) -- it is just slightly different from "normal" motorcycles. Fuel economy is out of this world, at 2l/100km. The tank capacity is 4 litres and it would give me around 170km per tank (with reserve remaining). So very cheap to run. I bought my Symba in 2015 and have had great fun on it. It has low kms on the dial and I'm selling due to now having a bigger bike. It's been kept under cover all the time, has no rust or other issues. Battery was replaced in July 2018 and new, wider tyres fitted earlier, at around 2000km. The tyres are now identical to the ones that come standard on CT110. Battery also has a charging lead installed for easy access (see photo). I have removed the pillion seat and fitted a bike basket, and Symba's been fantastic carrying my stuff around town. The original seat will be included with the bike (you can ask me for the basket if you wish to keep it). Service passport and original user manual come with the bike.
