I had head off it for 3 angle valve cut and look over engine to check that it's genuine RR and in good order. It is with the correct chassis No, 70mm bore long stroke engine, 40mm slingshot carbs, 10mm racing plugs, racing valves and springs, stronger crank, Carillo rods and magnesium valve cover. The main oil cooler is larger and there is an additional auxilliary cooler. Body work is fibreglass with quick release fasteners and aluminium tank.
It is a pleasure to ride on road or track - recognisable DNA to modern GSXRs with top end rush and slick, close ratio box. Handles reasonably. The rear shock rebuilt and pressurised (nitrogen cover) as were the front forks - the 43mm diameter units peculiar to this model.
Must be one of the few unmodified, not crashed RRs in existence. Reluctant sale by owner no longer able to ride.
