Seller's Description
This truly was a little shed find, picked up from the Toowoomba area, we got it home and pulled it all down with the aim of restoring it. The patina and faded paint was too cool to redo so I left it and sanded off all of the surface rust. The bike was stripped back to the frame and the following done
*Frame painted in satin black
* forks were rebuilt and new oil added
* all bright work cleaned up with steel wool and refitted
* Engine rebuilt, new crank bearings, little end , big end checked. New piston and ring, bore honed. Oil pump removed so premix only.
* Carb rebuilt and tuned.
* new front and rear Duro antique tyres
* brake caliper rebuilt and new pads fitted, new shoes in the rear
* new battery , kickstart only
* new handlebars
* NOS tacho
* Rims polished, centres painted
The bike rides well, all gears work , all electrics work as it should. Surprisingly nimble and quick off the mark. It was the early Suzuki rotary valve type and revs easily to the redline of 9grand. The bike itself weighs less than 90kg so power to weight is really good. I fitted a small bag to the rear to carry 2 stroke oil. I love it, it looks cool and harks back to a good era in motorcycling. Just have too many projects and some need to go.
It is located in Stanthorpe but can meet somone north or south of here if required. It is on Club rego so cannot be transferred. I will get a RWC if needed for Qld rego for cost (49 dollars)
Any questions , let me know
Cheers
