Superb full restoration. Won many show awards. Painted in Ducati 851red. Bike 95% original. RHS 5 speed gear change (you get used to it).
This 1980 Moto Morini 500 Sport has had a ground up restoration (at
45000km). The engine and gearbox have been completely rebuilt using
new parts. New seat, side covers, Conti mufflers, chain, sprockets,
shockers, battery, headlight, tank badges and indicators. Have key for
steering lock. Original kick start lever. Starter motor works. Has
original Morini 500 "La Strega" Witch decal on tail piece.
Carbies fully sorted by Bob Brown of Ducati tuning fame. Has original
air filters under the tank. Completely rewired by City Auto electrics.
Rare to see this model in such fine condition. The Morini factory
produced these mainly for export and as such they are fairly rare.
Spares can be obtained fairly easily from Italy and the UK. Issues:
First gear is tall so stop start urban traffic in hot weather can
overheat the clutch. Does not have a steering damper at present. There
are mounts to add one if required. Mufflers are fairly loud.
