Kawasaki Z1A 900. Frame # Z1F- 038753 Engine# Z1E- 038835 Australian delivered. Completely restored by previous owner about 8 years ago and has been stored since except for a couple of short rides when I first purchased it. Following comments by previous owner.
Motor was stripped down completely including gearbox and crank removal. Engine cases were split in two and sent with head and barrel to Brisbane where they were vapour/water blasted to bring them back to new. All exterior engine cases were mirror polished. All screws were replaced by the correct sized Philips stainless steel items from the UK. Gearbox was cleaned and checked and everything was fine. Motor was reassembled with new cam chain, valve guides, valve seals, a hone and new rings. All running gear was replaced as necessary. Motor is as new internally and needs to be run in. Frame was sandblasted and then powder coated gloss black. Swing arm bushes were replaced as well as roller steering head bearings. Carbs overhauled with new T pieces and other parts as required. Fork legs were polished and new seals/oil used. Rims, guards, headlights ears and numerous other small parts were re show chromed. The wheels have been re spoked and re trued. Quality period correct tyres have been fitted as well as new tubes. New handlebars, genuine Kawasaki grips and controls have been fitted. Speedo and tacho had a no expense spared restoration and look brand new. New seat as well! A $3000 set of genuine Kawasaki pipes were fitted. A genuine tank, side cover and ducktail set had a full resto paint job done by a Kawasaki specialist who uses the correct candy method to repaint genuine parts. The results are outstanding.
