Seller's Description
Purchased this Yammie about a year ago. When I bought was told it runs “just fine”. When delivered (after I changed oil, fuel, air filter and spark plug) gave her a kick and she started first go and ran great. Once warmed up went to take for test ride and couldn’t select gear. Bloke I bought from failed to mention that you couldn’t engage gears. After inspection I found that someone had removed the selector shaft cam follower thinking it to be engine oil drain plug also the pushrod mechanism was stuffed (nylon worm split in two). Managed to secure new plunger, bolt and spring from UK and booked in with Yuri to fit these parts as well as new clutch cable, pushrod, clutch mechanism repair (brass worm fitted), repair crack in left engine case, tyres, chain & sprockets, points & condenser, get lights & blinkers working. Once this work was done, it was hard to change through gears. Damien suggested this all pointed to Gear Selector Shaft being bent. Also he noted the Swing Arm bushes were stuffed. I have procured from USA & UK a new selector shaft and a new swing arm shaft and roller bearing kit. I’m quitting this project, along with a few others, due to my poor health and am selling “as is”. Brand new parts: Footpeg Rubbers, Kickstart Rubber (fitted), Full set new Blinkers, New Tail Light, New Horn, Selector Shaft Oil Seal, L & R Crankshaft Oil Seals, Kick Starter Shaft Oil Seal, Points x 2, Condenser x 2, Spark Plugs x 3, Brand New Clutch Parts (Springs, Bolts, Pushrod), Clutch Cover Gasket, New Clutch Cable (fitted), Brand New Tyres, New Mirrors, Genuine Clutch Holder Tool, Genuine Yamaha Toolkit & Bag, new fuel cap rubbers (fitted), new fuel tap (fitted), new fuel tank mount rubbers (fitted), new oil tank cap (fitted).
