1970 chang jiang cj 750 m1m outfit

Reluctantly due to medical reasons I am putting up for sale my 1970 Chang Jiang CJ750 M1M sidevalve that was rebuilt from ground up by Bill Eng in 2013 using the premium restoration option http://www.cj750.net/sitepics/premium/premiumhtml/premium00index.htm I specified the extra quilted trim. I have replaced the weak horns with Stebbel snail horns that are essentially very loud but in keeping with the period, the tank has been internally coated to prevent rusting should any water accidentaly get in, the under tank electrics have been moved to the tool box for easier access, The oil pump has been replaced with a a 25% higher flow Ural one, the usually leaky petcock has been replaced with a Honda one, the sump has been sealed and does not drop oil, some other parts changed for more reliable western sourced ones but in keeping with the period, all the bugs are sorted.It has only travelled 2230Kms from rebuild it has no damage or dings. It has not been ridden for a couple of years and always been garaged, it is equiped with a reverse gear. There are heaps of spares, too many to mention, plus a full set of special tools. The oil has just been changed with correct Mineral oil (synthetic oil is prone to rotting the engine seals). It is fully licensed for road use anywhere in Oz as the left hand bucket is a pre requisite for this as opposed to right hand which is usually restricted to club events. It is licensed in WA till September 2025 Shannons has set a insurance value of $20519 on it but I am asking $12500 as I can no longer ride it due my age and associated feet problems making braking and gear changing very difficult.
