1967 suzuki t250

The Classic T10 250cc Suzuki was produced between 1963 and 1967, being eventually replaced by the Hustler. The bike was a road version of the bike Suzuki had raced in the 1950’s. It had a pressed steel frame, soft suspension, 17inch wheels, flowing contours and featured revolutionary additions for the period, including an Electric start, a Fully enclosed chain case, an Emergency Torch (located under one of the chrome side panels and connecting by cable to an on board power socket), Hydraulic rear brakes and a Fuel Level indicator tube. The bike weighed 140 kilos. It was envisaged as a 250cc touring motorcycle and was the largest capacity motorcycle Suzuki manufactured at the time. The T10 was the First twin designed by Suzuki for export internationally. In 1965 British “Motorcycle News” reported that it was more expensive than the English equivalents, costing 248 pounds and 17 shillings and they went on to state that “The T10 is like a Rolls Royce on two wheels”. The example being offered has low kilometres. The bike has extensive light surface rust but looks superb. It is in need of a new headlight and tail light cover as well as an indicator (which can easily be located through US eBay). On the whole this is a wonderful little bike. I am the second owner, purchasing it over twenty years ago.
