1944 1200cc ex army Chief. It has been civilianised significantly from standard army issue, but in keeping with period Indian style. This bike has been meticulously & professionally restored to an exceptional high standard. A very comprehensive "full nut & bolt restoration." Too many new parts to mention. Features all 12 volt electrics with12 volt generator conversion and electronic regulator, electronic ignition all concealed to look period correct, Kiwi Indian electric start which has been completely concealed and retains the original kick lever but is in operable, twin batteries, the second as an emergency back-up, custom made 3 speed & reverse gearbox with improved gear ratios over the original 3 speed, custom shift gate on tank top aids shifting, all paint in 2K after a full back to bare metal strip, genuine Indian sidecar with full metal body custom upholstered in plush fine English leather topped with weather proof Tourneau cover and Crocker steering damper. New 16” wheels with twin whitewall tyres. Throttle and timing controls modified to make what is now seen as standard configuration. Indian were different to the norm. It now has auto throttle return and moved from the original LH operation to RH twist grip. Timing advance moved from RH grip to cable operation via remote lever.
