WorldWCR release 2025 calendar
Following its successful debut season, the Women’s Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR) has confirmed its return in 2025, with a provisional calendar released for next year. Comprising six rounds, the 2025 WorldWCR Championship will once again be held in conjunction with selected European rounds of the MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship.
The 2025 calendar will see the all-female championship race at three new circuits, including the all-new Balaton Park track in Hungary.
The 2025 WorldWCR Championship gets underway at Assen in April and concludes at Jerez in October, where this year’s championship decider played out in dramatic circumstances. Along with Jerez, the Cremona circuit in Italy and Donington Park in the UK return for 2025. Misano, Portimao and Estoril are out, with the new additions being Assen in the Netherlands, Magny-Cours in France and Balaton Park in Hungary.
Opened in May, 2023, Balaton Park is located south-west of Budapest, with the circuit’s 4.115km length offering 6 right- and 11 left-hand corners. The FIA and FIM homologated circuit will also host a MotoGP round in 2025, but remains subject to homologation for that championship, as it does for WorldSBK/WorldWCR.
With gaps of more than a month between some rounds, it will mean a lot of travelling and working around visa issues for riders based outside of Europe and the UK, like South Africa’s Jessica Howden, Luna Hirano from Japan, Mallory Dobbs from the USA and Tayla Relph, who was the sole Australian rider on the WorldWCR grid this year.
As with the WorldSBK calendar that this championship is a part of, the 2025 WorldWCR calendar is provisional and may be subject to change.
