This week is ‘Ride Your Motorcycle Week’
From dirt bike riders to commuters, adventure tourers, scooter lovers, racers and more, the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) is encouraging ALL riders to get on their bike for the week of 28 November to 4 December.
For the sixth year of this annual initiative from the FCAI, the message is simply ‘Ride Your Motorcycle More’, be it for work or play.
“Riding is more than recreation. It is a part of Australian culture that deserves more recognition,” said FCAI Chief Executive Tony Weber.
“The benefits are massive. Riding can improve mental health, ease congestion, make parking a breeze, create a lifestyle, provide a community, even offer COVID safe transportation. But, more than all those things, it is the most fun, exciting way to travel.
“Our goal [with Ride Your Motorcycle Week] is to show non-riders what they are missing. We want recreational riders commuting and commuting riders planning longer rides. Critically, we want to see lapsed riders getting their bikes tuned and back on the road.”
The Ride Your Motorcycle Week promotion for 2022, which runs from Monday, 28 November, to Sunday, 4 December, rewards riders throughout the week with prizes for sharing their riding exploits, while broadcasting the benefits of riding as loudly as possible.
