Motorcycles return to Brisbane Motor Show
The good news for bike enthusiasts is that "by popular demand" motorcycles are back as part of the show. This follows the hiatus of the Brisbane Motorcycle Expo for 2008, which will relocate to the Gold Coast from 2009.
Brisbane saw major model displays from Honda, Suzuki and Kawasaki in the Great Hall of the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre at South Bank. Following the advent of the Australian Motorcycle Expos, Honda and Kawasaki have not exhibited at the Motor Show since 2005. Suzuki last exhibited in 2006. BMW displayed two motorcycles on its car stand, including an Australian debut.Kawasaki new modelsThe Kawasaki display saw the debut of several models, including the all new ZX-10R and newest baby Supersport model, the Ninja 250R. The 2008 Ninja 250R takes over from the long serving GPX 250, and is ideal for experienced riders and beginners alike.The ZX-10R will be released in a new three colour line up of Lime Green, Metallic Diablo Black and Pearl Wildfire Orange.Also debuting at Brisbane were Kawasaki's all new KLX140 dirt bike range which included small and big wheel models and the exciting new 2008 KLX250S.
The Brisbane Motor Show runs until February 10th.
