Jeff Emig announced as Husqvarna ambassador
Perhaps best remembered for his rivalry with Jeremy McGrath in the 1990s, Emig (aka "Fro") was a multiple AMA MX and SX champion, an AMA Motorcycles Hall of Fame member and industry icon. While he played hard, Emig was also a seriously fast racer in his prime, with his finest hour coming in 1997, when he both the AMA 250 SX and MX championships.
Emig also represented the USA at the Motocross des Nations on six occasions, winning motos in 125, 250 and 500cc classes, and has stayed involved with the sport as a commentator.
In his new role with Husqvarna, Emig will focus on supporting the brand's initiatives, projects and products, as well as serving as Husqvarna's brand ambassador for the newly-formed United States Motorcycle Coaching Association (USMCA); a non-profit organization designed to lower the barriers of entry for new motorcyclists, enhance the safety of riders, set standards of best practices and raise the overall level of professionalism in the motorcycle industry.
"Husqvarna has such a rich heritage in motorcycling, and I am proud to be a part of the brand moving forward," said Emig.
"My passion for motorcycles aligns perfectly with Husqvarna, so I'm looking forward to working together with Husqvarna and creating a better future for the new riders to come."
