Harley-Davidson supports 2024 WA Pink Ribbon Ride
A staple amongst Harley-Davidson owners in Western Australia and the state’s broader motorcycling community for more than decade, the Pink Ribbon Ride returns in 2024, raising important funds for Breast Cancer Care WA.
First held in 2012, the Pink Ribbon Ride has raised more than $100,000 for Breast Cancer Care WA, with more than $20,000 raised last year alone.
For this year’s edition of the Pink Ribbon Ride, Harley-Davidson has put the call out to all WA motorcyclists to register and dress themselves - and their bikes - in pink for the ride from Perth to Fremantle on Sunday, 6 October. While Harley-Davidson are supporting and promoting the ride, all types of motorcycles are welcome.
Registration for the 2024 Pink Ribbon Ride costs just $10/person, with an extra $5 to indulge in the BBQ breakfast ahead of the ride. More than 400 riders are expected to take part this year, including actor and Harley-Davidson ambassador, Danielle Cormack.
“As someone whose passion for motorcycles is trumped only by my passion for women’s health initiatives, the Pink Ribbon Ride is an event that I’m immensely proud to be part of and I can’t wait to ride alongside other champions of the cause,” Cormack said.
Riders can register HERE ahead of the event, or on the day at Rockingham Harley-Davidson (9 Enterprise Way, Rockingham) from 8:30AM. The ride departs from Rockingham H-D at 10:00AM for Walyalup Koort (Kings Square) in the centre of Fremantle. A bike display and other attractions will be at Walyalup Koort from 11:30AM to approximately 3:00PM.
If you can’t make it on the day but still want to support to Breast Cancer Care WA, you can donate HERE.
Harley-Davidson ANZ, Perth and Rockingham H-D dealerships and the Swan River Chapter of the Harley Owner’s Group (H.O.G.) have been advocates for the Pink Ribbon Ride since the beginning and will be lending their support again this year.
“The annual Pink Ribbon Ride is an event that is deeply important to all of us,” said H-D ANZ Managing Director, Nigel Keough. “By bringing together our riders for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, it’s our hope that we can play a small part in Breast Cancer Care WA’s monumental effort to support those affected by breast cancer.”
Carolyn Pobjoy, Regional Director for Western Australia H.O.G., added: “We are so excited to be celebrating the thirteenth year of the WA Pink Ribbon Ride, where we can support our wider community when they are affected, directly or indirectly, by breast cancer.
“It’s a great spectacle to see 400 plus bikes from the Western Australian motorcycle community riding up the coast covered in pink and purple. And the money we raise provides much needed funding for a non-Government supported charity that makes such a difference in our community.”
