Ducati adds black-on-black livery to Panigale V2
Following Ducati’s introduction of new colour options for models like the Monster, Supersport 950 and Hypermotard, they’ve now done the same for the Panigale V2. In addition to the classic Ducati Red, the Panigale V2. In addition to classic Ducati Red, the Panigale V2 is now also available in a ‘Black on Black’ livery.
Ducati says the new livery enhances the bold character of the Panigale V2 with its all-over dark matte grey finish, accented with gloss black sections on the lower fairing, extraction vents and front mudguard. Large ‘V2’ graphics on the flanks are also in gloss black, with Ducati and Panigale branding picked out in red.
Red accents are added to the wheels and there’s a subtle Italian tricolore on the extraction vents that the Ducati Red version doesn’t get. Another exclusive is new materials and graphics on the seat.
New colour aside, the rest of the Panigale V2 Black on Black is unchanged, with a monocoque aluminium frame and 955cc Superquadro 90-degree twin-cylinder engine producing 114kW at 10,750rpm and 104Nm at 9,000rpm. The six-speed grearbox includes the Ducati Quick Shift up/down quickshifter and slipper clutch.
Showa BPF front and Sachs rear suspension elements are fully adjustable, with 120mm front and 130mm rear travel. Dual 320mm semi-floating front discs are fitted with Brembo Monobloc four-piston calipers, with the 245mm rear disc running a two-piston caliper. Seventeen-inch wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso Corsa IV tyres are standard.
The Panigale V2’s extensive tech package centres around a 6-axis IMU and includes EVO versions of Cornering ABS, Engine Brake Control and Ducati Wheelie Control, while Ducati Traction Control is up to EVO 2 spec. Three riding modes are standard, selectable via a 4.3-inch TFT screen. The available Ducati Multimedia System adds a lap timer and data analyser with GPS.
Other Panigale V2 features include LED lighting all round, an 840mm seat height and 200kg wet weight.
In terms of pricing, the Black on Black livery adds a $700 premium over the Ducati Red version, for a list price of $26,300. Panigale V2 purchasers can personalise their bike with accessories using the online configurator.
