Bug Orion 200. December 2006
Bug is the number two selling brand in Australia, and the launch of the big-wheel Bug Orion is part of its strategy to become the number one scooter distributor nationally.
The stylish Bug Orion 200 is powered by a 163cc four-stroke engine linked to a fully automatic CVT transmission. It features wide 16-inch aluminium alloy wheels, a front disc brake, halogen headlight, adjustable rear suspension and a 24 month warranty.
"The launch of the Bug Orion will strengthen Bug's presence in the higher capacity, big-wheel market that is growing quite significantly in our larger cities," said Peter Lynch, managing director, Bug Scooters.
The unveiling of the Bug Orion takes the Bug Scooter line-up to ten.
"Bug Scooters has built its name with a range of highly affordable and reliable products, and we believe that the Orion 200 will reinforce that reputation in this important segment of the market."
Other features of the Orion 200 include a lockable glovebox, a 12-volt socket, dash-mounted clock, integrated windscreen, underseat storage and rear luggage rack.
"The Orion is an important inclusion to the Bug Scooter line-up, and for the buyer looking at a very well priced, larger and more powerful four-stroke that is happy to take a pillion, this is the ticket."
With a recommend retail price of $4,999 plus on road costs, the Bug Orion 200 is available in Velvet Red or Midnight Black and will be available at the end of November.
