2019 Bulli Beauties – ALTER EGO

Both the engines are 650cc pre-unit Triumph twins, slotted into a 1950 rigid frame that has been lengthened 300mm and strengthened to handle the rigors of the drag strip.

Induction is via an AMR 500 supercharger and 2-inch SU carburettor, with ignition performed by a pair of Joe Hunt magnetos.

The gearbox is an AMX 4-speed with NEB speedway clutch.

All the fabrication, engineering, mechanical, paint and wiring was performed by the owner, Darren Bennet.

While it goes as hard as it looks, Bennett says that, performance wise, this creation is yet to reach its full potential.
