This bike has just undergone a two year complete restoration costing more than the asking price to bring it back to better than new. The bike just won best pre 1992 belt drive Ducati at the NSW Ducati Owners Club Concourse De Elegance, see trophy image in the photo set. The restoration included: - Parts sourced from all over the world - Full engine disassembly, hydro-blast clean and re-assembly with new pistons, rings, bearings, belts and seals, the engine still requires running in as the bike has only done around 200km since the rebuild. - The bike was fully stripped to bare metal, all rust and defects professionally removed and re-painted in original factory colours by Mototech in Smithfield, NSW. - Fuel tank has been lined with a rust proof liner as part of the re-paint process. - Every nut, bolt and washer was re-zinced, - Every rubber item is new. - All chrome items were re-chromed in period correct restoration chrome by Blu-Chrome in NSW - The instruments were rebuilt by Manly Instruments in NSW with new clock faces and inner workings but original KMs retained as homage to the original bike. - New old stock Conti 2 into 1 exhaust fitted. - New chain and sprockets, - All cables and the speedo drive are new - Carbs stripped, cleaned and rebuilt bu Gowanloch Ducati - Forks and shocks, stripped, re-built and re-painted by Gowanloch Ducati and Collideascope Paint in NSW. - All original brake lines were pressure tested to 2500psi and passed by Brake pro Parramatta and custom made black braided brake lines manufactured and fitted by the same company (original rubber lines will come with the bike) to improve braking. - Ignitech electronic ignition unit fitted (hidden under the tank) to provide hassle free starting and running. - Final check over and tune completed by Gowanloch Ducati. Sale includes a workshop manual, exploded parts diagrams for the whole bike, various spare parts including fairings and a fuel tank, all reciepts for every item of the restoration and dozens of photos of the restoration process. This bike restoration has been a labour of love and is a very regretful sale due to personal reasons. The bike would suit a fastidious owner, a collector or someone looking for an amazing piece of Italian art I am open to offers close to the asking price, please do not make silly low bid offers, this model of Pantah is rapidly appreciating as they become rare and represents an excellent appreciating investment. The bike is on historic rego which cannot be transferred.
