1981 HONDA CBX1000 Super Sport - This would be the best original CBX in Australia, in spectacular condition. The first of the advanced Pro Link suspension it is original down to factory exhausts. Something very rare in this era bike.Originally in a private collection it passed to myself in 2007 with just 9,000km on the clock. Originally did longer touring trips but I soon decided it was too much of gem to use as a tourer on a regular basis.In 2010 I decided to limit further use with aim to retain as a low Km collector item. (Barely 14,000km on clock now)Although in storage for some six years it has received regular servicing and on road runs to ensure it did not detoriate in any way.
The bike comes with collectables such as W/Shop and owners manuals, import papers plus a selection of hard to find spares. CBX original sales brochure, magazine articles and the bike is original down to the factory issue tyre gauge. The bike has not been altered in anyway and has the factory fitted handle bars, grips,seat etc. Rides like new and handles superbly like off the showroom floor.Wheels magazine described this machine as "one of their top 12 superbikes".
This bike would arguably be the most original in Oz and would pass any scrutiny. A great bike for a Japanese Superbike collector.
I am in two minds about selling so any offers will need to be serious.Will consider using bike as deposit on a Unique Car, preferrably Australian manufacture.
