For sale early (1976 not 1977) BMW R100S (production number 265) motorcycle. Genuine factory “Type R 100 S” with matching numbers on frame and engine. This example is clean, mostly original, and will make for an easy restoration. Purchased from South Australia where it was last registered by the previous owner (SA registration certificate and PPSR certificate provided). Fitted are new Keihan stainless steel downpipes, reverse cone silencers with alloy end caps and new SSB motorcycle battery. Very reluctant sale on an appreciating asset and for sale only due to extenuating circumstances. Fun facts: The early R100S is a direct descendant of the famous R90S and arguably the most collectable “slash seven” airhead you can own. S models had more aggressive cams, with near 10% more horsepower and torque over the R100/7 model. The R100S was the most expensive production motorbike and one of the four fastest bikes in the World when it was new. (First BMW bike to cover the 1/4 mile in under 13 seconds (12.9 seconds @ 103mph).
