Seller's Description
Triumph Hurricane X75 – Built 1972 – 1973 Season Year. For your consideration is my restored 1973 Triumph Hurricane. This is an outstanding example of a fully restored Hurricane, and I've listed detail pertinent to its restoration: • This Hurricane has had over 450Hrs work on its restoration, so obviously there is too much to list here. • Serious collectors: Engine and Frame #s are true and correct. Parts used are from original bike where possible. • Complete engine overhaul by Dave Johnson at Tri-Cycle in Canberra. • Professionally re-painted body set: gas tank, side cover/tail section (no vinyl stripe kit used) • New wiring harness. • Original chrome front and rear fenders • Original 1973 tach and speedo (Showing 3,734 miles), grab rail and handlebar switches. • New chain and sprockets. • New correct for model 27mm carb set and cables. • Original re-built front forks. • Frame, swing arm, battery box and all black parts have been powder-coated glossy black. • Chrome, stainless or zinc-plated nuts and bolts. • Original correct wheels with new stainless steel spokes and new Dunlop tires. • This is a highly collectible example in concourse condition and the photos do not do this bike justice. This restoration was a purposeful effort to maintain the integrity of this one year only production Hurricane, using as many original parts as possible. The restoration work is absolutely flawless with attention to detail.
