1969 bsa a65f firebird scrambler dual sports

1969 BSA Lightning, converted to a Firebird when new. This bike has only travelled 27,000 miles and comes with documentation (and 48 year old tyres) to prove it. There is a great story that goes with the bike too. All previous owners are listed in the Original New Zealand Title documents, as well as the mileage each time it changed hands. The last owner purchased the bike in 1976 and only put 7,000 miles on it in 48 years. The bike is all original with no modifications apart from the fuel tank, exhaust pipes and front mudguard that were fitted when new and an oil pressure gauge fitted some time in the 80's. New Dunlop tyres fitted and old ones kept for the future owner if wanted. I also have the original cast aluminium number plate with its last NZ rego sticker from 1981. I was tempted to spruce the bike up with some new chrome parts and paint work, but thought better of it. As they say "They are only original once", the next owner can make that decision.
